Our learners say

“I loved the quizzes such a good way to see what you have learned from each section. This is the best course I have done in a long while, very supportive and amazing content”.

Katy
Midwife and Health Visitor

"Videos are an excellent way of teaching and thank you for this especially in such challenging times. I also enjoyed how course material is available to download which allows further studying. The quick glance aromatherapy chart is now my new best friend”.

Rachael
Student Midwife

“As an evidence-based practitioner, I enjoyed having access to references I can use to support clients and using aromatherapy safely. The instructors provided valuable feedback and were warm and kind and helpful”.

Feven
Doula, Childbirth Educator

“It was easy to navigate and I learned what was needed and clear and concise. I loved that there was helpful info towards setting up a policy in the hospital, and info guides for partners to use”.

Carol
Midwife & Aromatherapist

“Thank you for all the support and encouragement given to me all the way through. I feel really confident to perform my massage on the patients. As a support worker it would really benefit the patients in early labour or the patient who is not coping with the pain. I am ever so grateful to both for you for teaching me so much and making sure I got the right technique to do it”.

Zorina
Support worker

"All the scenarios in module 7 were really good practice. It's with those that I was able to collect my thoughts together and actually realised I had learnt so much. Thank you".

FAQs

Who can take the course?

Our course is created for the professional user, we mostly teach midwives, doulas and other childbirth educators and also midwifery and doula students.  There’s no restriction for the home user wishing to take the course for their own use.

When can I start?

Straight away on enrolling.  Once enrolled you'll only need Lavender essential oil to complete your first module, so this may give you time to order anything extra that's needed.

What's equipment is needed?

We advise you to get yourself some essential oils and other items to work with, here's a handy list of things that you will need.  Kits and individual essential oils are available on our website shop, or you may choose to purchase them elsewhere.   In your welcome email you will receive a 5% discount code for the shop.

Do I need someone to practice on?

You will need to organise a willing volunteer to practice massage and compress on. This person can be family, friend or co-learner, any gender and doesn’t need to be a pregnant woman.

How long will it take to complete?

It is possible to complete the course in one day if you gather together the things you need before you start.  You can take it more slowly if you prefer, so long as you have completed it within 7 weeks.

Can I disseminate the information to my work colleagues?

No, our course is not ‘cascade’ training. To ensure safe and effective practice, each birth worker must have their own individual training directly and we do not condone, support or certify any cascading of our teaching.
